It's hard to describe the feeling of serving alongside someone until you experience it for yourself. Everyone is unique and contributes to the body of Christ in their own way.
At Gen Church, we want to share the Love of Jesus with everyone who walks through our doors or finds us online. God uses willing-hearted volunteers to make a huge difference in the lives of so many people every year! We truly believe serving is a vital role in following the way of Jesus. If you are not sure where or how you can help, email Jayne and she will help you find a spot! We do provide training and mentoring.
What to Expect as a Volunteer
Every role at Gen Church is different. That’s what makes volunteering worth it! You can operate in the area where you feel most gifted or interested whether your serve in-person or virtually. You can always expect there to be a process in place to equip and train you, as well as a designated leader who can answer all of your questions and will mentor you.
What areas can I volunteer?
Dream Team opportunities are limitless!! From hosting our guests each week as they arrive in-person or online, to serving in the Coffee House, Social Media, our Future Gen Kid's & Youth ministries, to our Worship & Multimedia teams, there is a place for you. We can help you find the place where you feel most comfortable and able to make the greatest impact with your gifts!
What is the time commitment?
Each volunteer ministry team provides multiple opportunities to serve allowing you to find a time that works best for you. With in-person and online services and several special events throughout the year, there is definitely a Dream Team opportunity that will work for you.

Guest Services Volunteers Needed
You will be one of the first faces people see on Sunday mornings where you will offer warm greetings to regular attendees, and be on the lookout to help visitors check-in their kids, find coffee, and introduce them to someone they can sit with in the Sanctuary. Guest Services has also become a vital part of meeting COVID-19 requirements. We need people to not only welcome guests as they arrive, but to also ensure we are meeting health code requirements by taking temperatures, logging in names, making sure everyone is masked, sanitized and social distancing. After service, the Guest Services team will make sure all areas, including seating, has been cleaned and sanitized. During special events, Guest Services will assist with tear down and set-up and assist Hospitality with clean-up. If you're interested in helping or to learn more Email Ray
Future Gen Kids Volunteers Needed
Doug Brown leads our Future Gen Kids department ( 1 yr to 5th Grade) and brings a lot of energy and creativity. But he is in need of volunteers to meet the demands of our kids! We are in great need of volunteers to check in/out the kids. If you love to teach, then come and help teach the children about Jesus Christ. We have curriculum we use that comes with lesson plans, games, videos, music, and crafts. Don't want to teach but love hanging out and playing? Become an Assistant or Toddler caregiver.
We also need seasonal volunteers for some of our outreach events to help with serving food, doing crafts, games, and supervision. If you would like to learn more how you can help once a month or a few times a year at special events,
Gen Youth Ministry(G.Y.M.) Volunteers Needed
Our G.Y.M. ministry is for kids grades 6th through 12th grade. Teens are at the most impressionable stage of their life and we need team members who have a desire to build relationships with this age group and help with various activities throughout the year. We meet on Wednesday evenings (subject to COVID-19) and will also have opportunities throughout the year to do other fun activities, including camp.
