Welcome to the men's ministry page

The Men of Gen have various activities and bible studies throughout the year.  This is open to high-school age and up.  Our current activities are listed below, so be sure to sign up for at least one or more of our them.  We do offer a "Frequently Asked Questions" section at the bottom of the page that should answer most of your questions.  But by chance it doesn't, there is a link to contact Graham Seel to help you.

Remember, you can join us for any of our studies at any time!   See you there!

Men's Bible Study

In Psalm 23, David wrote that God has “prepared a table before me in the presence of my enemies.” It’s important to note that this table is set for two. Our enemy, the devil, is not intended to join us there. Yet, he seizes every opportunity to lie his way into our minds and claim control over our lives. He can cause our minds to spin out of control with thoughts that are unproductive, destructive, and harmful. It is our responsibility to manage whose voices are at that table! Our Good Shepherd invites us to linger at this table and find nourishment, rest, and deep intimacy with the King of the Universe. It’s time to win the battle for your mind.

This 6-week study will begin on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 6:30 pm and held at the church.  Please RSVP to Pastor Doug, to ensure he will have enough supplies for everyone.   RSVP

Frequently asked questions

Q. Do I have to know the Bible to be eligible to attend?

A. No! There will be some who have spent many years in studying the Bible, and some who have barely even opened. But we all have a ton to learn from opening it together.

Q. What will our meetings be like?

A. This will likely vary, depending on what we’re all looking for and how the Spirit leads us. But generally there will be some kind of teaching, and some discussion, and it will be informal and interactive.

Q. Is this just for older men?

A. No, at Generations we believe that older men can learn from younger and vice versa. God works in His church as all generations grow together.

Q. I’m not used to meetings like this. What is expected of me?

A. We simply want you to turn up. You can be an active participant, or as quite as a church mouse. You won’t be expected to read or pray aloud if you don’t want to, or to join in the conversation, or even do homework. But of course, the more you put into it, the more you will get out.

Q. Who will be leading?

A. The Holy Spirit, through men who feel called to teach or lead discussions. This will vary over time, and each “leader” will bring their own style and background to the table, and the rest of us will bring our contributions.

Q. Do I have to be a member of Generations Church?

A. No, this is open to anyone who wants to grow as a follower of Jesus Christ.
